First an update: Apollo 11: To the Moon is done mastering and is at the replicators. It will begin shipping over the next couple of weeks.
The Cape is now the number one production priority. We will be collecting the last few items in August and look to finish up the masters thereafter.
After the Cape we will be collecting the final items on the Space Shuttle set, while at the same time putting together our second Blu-ray release: The Apollo Onboard Film.
This second blu-ray will feature the Apollo onboard 16mm film in HD. While we will not be able to include all of the footage, here is our guideline on what WILL be on the Blu-ray.
- The Apollo 4 Saturn V ejected camera footage, showing the first stage falling away (two views).
- Some selected HD Saturn V launch footage we have as a bonus
- Some of the Apollo 6 Command Module footage
- Tracking the Apollo 7 S-IVB
- All Interior footage from Apollo 7
- Selected Apollo 7 Earth Orbital Footage
- All Interior footage from Apollo 8
- Selected lunar orbital footage from Apollo 8
- Docking footage from Apollo 9 on...
- Apollo 9 EVA footage
- All footage of humans on the surface of the Moon
- All lunar landings
- The Apollo 16 "Grand Prix"
- All lunar liftoffs
We will have this shipping prior to the holidays this year. Now that we've done a blu-ray, I do not anticipate long delays on this product such as on our first. We will be pricing this set as rather expensive, but will be opening this up for pre-order at a reduced price.
Thank you for your support of Spacecraft Films. We are very pleased to have a number of new releases that have been very much anticipated finally coming out, and we thank you for your patience in helping us produce the best possible product.
